Pictograms used on Arch products
Symbols and hazard warnings
Like any chemical, swimming pool products must comply with very strict regulations.
All labels must include detailed precautions for use and safety instructions.
Where applicable pictograms (black symbols on an orange or white background) informing the user of the hazards associated with the concentrated product must also be featured.
Below we explain the 6 pictograms found on Arch products.

Xi - Irritant
Non-corrosive substances and preparations which, through prolonged or repeated contact with the skin or mucous membrane, can cause an inflammatory reaction.

C - Corrosive
Substances and preparations which may destroy living tissues on contact with them.

|
Xn - Harmfull
Substances and preparations which, if inhaled or ingested or if they penetrate the skin, may involve acute or chronic health risks.

N - Dangerous for the environment
Substances and preparations that can have long-term harmful effects on the environment.

|
O - Oxidizing
Substances and preparations which have a strongly exothermic reaction when in contact with other substances, particularly flammable substances.

Nouveaux pictogrammes CLP/SGH*
CLP est le règlement sur la classification, l’étiquetage et l’empaquetage des substances et des mélanges.
Ce règlement aligne l’ancienne législation de l’UE sur la classification, l’étiquetage et l’emballage des substances chimiques avec celle du SGH (le Système Global Harmonisé de classification et d’étiquetage des produits chimiques).
Ses objectifs principaux sont de faciliter le commerce international des produits chimiques et de maintenir le niveau existant de protection de la santé et de l’environnement.
These pictograms are associated with a warning of "Danger" or "Warning" depending on the category of danger belonging to the product category (a particular pictogram can be associated with either one or other of the two warning words).
