ARCH TAKES PART TO "THE NUIT DE L’EAU" 2011 TO RAISE FUNDS AND PROVIDE DRINKING WATER IN TOGO
Arch Water Products, leading international swimming pool water treatment specialist, took part to the 4th French Nuit de l’Eau to contribute to the delivery of drinking water to 3700 children in Togo.
To celebrate World Water Day 2011, 193 French Swimming Federation clubs, 77 departmental UNICEF committees and nearly 48,000 volunteers celebrated the Nuit de l’Eau on Saturday 02 April 2010.
This new Nuit de l’Eau event is sponsored by the French Olympic champion, Alain Bernard.
 For the occasion many well known personalities and athletes generously came to support this worthy cause.
ARCH took part in this first occasion in Amboise, at the VALLEREY swimming pool, where the event met with great success with 27 people from ARCH France. Sponsorship for the “red line” event was €1 plus €2 for each 25 m length completed.
In total, ARCH personnel covered more than 31km. ARCH and Amboise's s involvement raised a total of €5,495 that will be paid in full to UNICEF as a contribution to renovating an old bore hole and replacing a pump in Togo.
These programmes help not only to improve the health and hygiene conditions for pupils but also to reduce infant mortality and increase the number of children attending school.
